ShopManager Help-System v2.25 menu is accessed by pressing Alt-Space. All the other menus are accessed by pressing Alt-Z, where Z is the first letter of the menu. : For example, the "Options" menu is pulled down by Alt-O. ) Press ESC to put this help screen away. 4 System ShopDoor ShopManager Database Options (System) menu (Alt-Spacebar) The System menu appears on the far left of the menu bar and is represented by the symbol. ( When you pull down the menu, you see Info Register-Info Info When you choose the Info command from the (System) menu, a dialog box appears, showing copyright and version information. G To close the box, press Esc, Space, or Enter, or click the OK button. Register-Info The Register-Info menu item displays who has registered this nice program. ShopDoor View Logfile With this option you can take a look at the Logfile of the ShopDoor. When youre Logfile is too big, it's possible that you can't look at the Logfile with this option at a moment... That is because there is too less memory then. You can put your Logfile then (for example) on a floppy and then erase it on your harddisk. ShopDoor (Alt-D) The ShopDoor menu offers choices for viewing the Logfile and the Settings of the ShopDoor. Edit Settings View Logfile ShopManager (Alt-M) The ShopManager menu offers choices for editing menus for the ShopDoor, ShopDoor-Statistics, jumping to a DosShell and exiting the program. Also you can change more ShopDoor settings here. 2 Setup Edit Menus DosShell Exit Statistics ShopManager Setup Here you can change your setup of the ShopManager. ? Payment-Methods Here you can select the payment-methods you want to use. With your cursor-keys, spacebar and TAB you can enable/disable the different methods. It's also possible to change the locations of these fields on your ShopDoor-screen by entering the X & Y Positions. When you didn't enable a Creditcard-method: the number- and ExpDate-fields of the Creditcard will not be used. If you don't select any method at all: the payment-screen will not be used... It's also possible to configure the fore- and background colors of these fields. Shipment-Methods Here you can select the shipment-methods you want to use. With your cursor-keys, spacebar and TAB you can enable/disable the different methods. It's also possible to change the locations of these fields on your ShopDoor-screen by entering the X & Y Positions. If you don't select any method at all: the shipment-screen will not be used... It's also possible to configure the fore- and background colors of these fields. Mail-Manager If you want the message be sent to the firm when somebody orders something, leave this field blank. But if you want to send those messages to somebody else just place his/her name here. Personal-Information Here you can select the personal-information you want to use. With your cursor-keys, spacebar and TAB you can enable/disable the different items. It's also possible to change the locations of these fields on your ShopDoor-screen by entering the X & Y Positions. It's also possible to configure the fore- and background colors of these fields. Default Settings When you press this button, the default settings will be used... Color-Table Dark Colors (Foreground & Background): Black 0 Blue 1 Green 2 Cyan 3 Red 4 Magenta 5 Brown 6 LightGray 7 Light Colors (Foreground): DarkGray 8 LightBlue 9 LightGreen 10 LightCyan 11 LightRed 12 LightMagenta 13 Yellow 14 White 15 ShopManager Edit Menus Here you can edit/create all the ShopDoor menus you want to use. There is a Mainmenu-Dialog and also a SubMenus-Dialog. Just enter the filenames (without the extensions) and there Hotkeys where you like. 8 Some Rules, which will be checked by the program, are: There must be a Mainmenu. Each Screen must have a Hotkey (and visa versa). When a Submenu is entered: the Submenu must be entered in the Mainmenu. When you want to enter a Submenu in the Mainmenu: just enter '*1*','*2*','*3*' or '*4*' for Submenu 1,2,3 or 4. Some special reserved hotkeys are: 'X' = Leave Mainmenu/Submenu 'P' = Post a Message (echo-mail) 'B' = Place an Order (echo-mail) 'D' = Download Pricelist You may use the following keys as Hotkeys: 'A' to 'Z', 'a' to 'z', and '0' to '9'. (please, do not use the reserved keys) OrderMenu ShopManager Edit Menus => OrderMenu Here you can change the Hotkeys of the different options of the OrderMenu. You may use the following keys as Hotkeys: 'A' to 'Z', 'a' to 'z', and '0' to '9'. Default Settings When you press this button, the default settings will be used... Edit Menus ShopManager Statistics Use button 'Next BBS' to get the Data of another BBS. j And with the button 'Next Menu' you will see the Mainmenu, Submenu 1, Submenu 2, Submenu 3 or Submenu 4. ShopDoor Settings Here you can change your setup of the ShopDoor. \ BBS-system selection Select your BBS-system using the cursor-keys. BBS-path/AreaId settings Enter the different Paths and AreaId's. Message area identifiers (AreaId) Description AreaId's have the following formats: Squish: S followed by the path\filename of the message area. An Example: [ Sc:\max\msg\shopmsg ] Hudson: H followed by a 3 digit area number follow by the msg base path. An Example: [ H003C:\ra\msgbase\ ] Fido(*.Msg): F followed by the message path. An Example: [ Fc:\ra\fd\netmail ] JAM: J followed by the path\filename of the message area. An Example: [ Jc:\ra\jam\shopmsg ] Ezycom v1.02: E followed by the 4 digit area number followed by the msg base path. An Example: [ E0001c:\ezy\msg ] Ezycom v1.1x: Y followed by the 5 digit area number followed by the msg base path. An Example: [ Y00001c:\ezy\msg ] Download program Enter the download program you want to use with all the parameters. An Example: [ dsz.com CON portx 3f8,4 sz ] Logfile-Name Enter the logfile-mame (with fullpath). An Example: [ Logfile-Name : c:\ra\log\shopdoor.log ] Fax available If you want to send a fax-order to somebody when a user has confirmed his order, select [ YES ]. If you don't want to use this option or you don't have a FAX select [ NO ]. If you use this option, a batchfile called 'DOFAX.BAT' will be created with some FAX-instructions. ShopManager DOS Shell With the DOS Shell command, you can leave the program temporarily to perform a DOS command or run another program. 9 To return to this program, type EXIT at the DOS prompt. ShopManager Exit (Alt-X) The Exit command terminates this program. Options (Alt-O) The Options menu contains commands that let you change color, mouse and sound default settings. Database (Alt-B) The Database menu offers choices for converting 'DBF???.TXT'-files to ShopDoor database files and also creating a nice pricelist of those ShopDoor-databases. ! Converter Pricelist Generator Database Converter With this option you can convert your 'DBF???.TXT'-file (eg: 'DBF001.TXT') to a database file called: 'DBF???.DBF' (eg: 'DBF001.DBF'). Database Pricelist Generator With this option you can create a pricelist called 'SHOPLST.TXT' with the data of all your ShopDoor databases. Just archive the 'SHOPLST.TXT' file with a 'ARJ-program' to a file called 'SHOPLST.ARJ' and it's ready to download... Options Mouse... The Mouse command brings up the Mouse Options dialog box, where you can set various options that control how your mouse works, including: R how fast a double-click is which mouse button (right or left) is active Options Colors... The Colors item brings up the Colors dialog box, where you can customize the colors of the display. Options Sound... The Sound item brings up a Sound dialog box, where you can switch on/off the Sound. Options Save Desktop Saves the state of all open windows to a file call SHOPMGR.DSK. This file can be reloaded by selecting Options Restore Desktop. Options Restore Desktop Restore a previously-saved state of all open windows from a file call SHOPMGR.DSK. This file is saved via the Options Desktop menu command. [ Cancel ] If you choose Cancel, nothing changes and no action occurs, and the dialog box is put away. M (Esc always cancels a dialog box, even if a Cancel button does not appear.) Help on the Mouse Options dialog box This dialog box consists of one check box, one slider bar, and the standard buttons OK and Cancel. On monochrome systems, it contains a set of radio buttons instead of the palettes. This dialog box is where you can change the colors of different parts of this program. Group Desktop Menus Dialogs The Group list box contains the names of the different regions of the program that you can customize. L Item Color When you select a group from the Group list, the Item list box displays the names of the different views in that region.
